NYQORA is published by SCOPT Inc. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the NYQORA mobile application does with your information. It is short because the app does very little with it.
The short version
NYQORA does not collect your personal data. It has no account system and contains no advertising or analytics software. Its only network requests go to the service that handles NYQORA Pro: when it starts, it fetches the Pro price and checks whether Pro is unlocked, and it verifies a purchase when you buy or restore one. None of this carries anything that identifies you. Every laboratory runs on your device, and everything you enter stays there.
What we collect
Nothing that identifies you. We operate no servers of our own for NYQORA and hold no account for you, because there is no account to hold.
NYQORA does not collect, transmit or store:
- your name, email address, or any other contact detail — there is no account to create;
- your location;
- your advertising identifier, and nothing in NYQORA tracks you across other apps or websites;
- usage analytics, session recordings, crash reports or diagnostics;
- your predictions, measurements, answers, notebook entries or reports.
The one exception is your purchase, and it is described under Purchases below.
What stays on your device
NYQORA stores the following locally, using your device's ordinary application storage:
- the runs you save to your notebook, with their settings, readings and fingerprints;
- your predictions, reasons and answers to the laboratory questions;
- the laboratory you opened last;
- a record that you have purchased NYQORA Pro, so it stays unlocked.
This information never leaves your device unless you deliberately export it, and it is removed when you delete the app.
When information leaves your device
One kind of request happens without you asking for it, and it is the first below. Everything else leaves the device only because you chose to send it.
- Purchases. When NYQORA starts, it asks RevenueCat, described under Purchases below, for the Pro price and whether Pro is unlocked, using the anonymous identifier described there. If you buy or restore NYQORA Pro, the store's receipt is also sent for verification. Nothing else about you is sent.
- Reports and records. When you create a laboratory report or export a run record, the file is made on your device and handed to your operating system's share sheet. You choose what happens next — mail it, save it, or hand it to your lecturer. We never see it.
- Imports. A run record you open in NYQORA is read on your device and is not transmitted anywhere.
Purchases
NYQORA Pro is a one-time in-app purchase. Payment is processed entirely by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details, your card, or your Apple or Google account.
To keep Pro unlocked on your devices, and to restore it if you reinstall or change device, we use RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc.) as a service provider. When you buy or restore NYQORA Pro, the app sends the store's purchase receipt to RevenueCat, which confirms whether a valid purchase exists. What is sent is the transaction information the store provides — the product bought and when — together with an anonymous identifier generated on your device and basic technical information about the app version and platform.
That identifier is anonymous and is not linked to you. NYQORA does not create an account, does not ask for your name or email, and does not set any identifier of its own, so the purchase record cannot be connected to your identity. No advertising identifier is used, and no data is used to track you across other apps or websites.
RevenueCat processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy, at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy. If you never buy NYQORA Pro, no purchase information leaves your device: the only request the app makes is the check at start-up for the Pro price and whether Pro is unlocked, which carries the anonymous identifier and nothing else about you.
Children
NYQORA is a virtual laboratory for engineering and physics, aimed at students, lecturers and researchers. It contains no advertising, no social features, and no user-generated content shared with others.
It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age. The only information that ever leaves the device is the anonymous purchase check and purchase record described above, and neither identifies anybody — there is no account, no name, no email address and no advertising identifier.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you. There is no account, and the purchase record described above is anonymous, so we could not connect it to you even if asked to. There is therefore nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase on request. The data the app holds is on your device and under your control.
If you believe this is inaccurate, or if you have a question about it, please contact us using the details below and we will answer.
Changes to this policy
If NYQORA ever gains a feature that transmits information — for example an optional account, course submission or synchronisation — we will update this page before that feature ships, and the app will ask for your agreement before using it. The "last updated" date above will change.
